Building an AI SaaS, from scoping to production

A product built on a language model, or an AI feature to add to your SaaS. I scope what needs building, build it and take it to production, with one point of contact.

What changes with AI

An AI product is judged on its answers, not its demo.

An impressive demo can be built in a few days. A product that answers correctly, at a controlled cost and without leaking data, needs choices made from the scoping stage.

Method

Scope, prototype, build.

Three steps, and you can stop at the end of each one with a deliverable that belongs to you.

1 · SCOPE The use case specs, costs, data 2 · PROTOTYPE The artefacts a prototype to try out 3 · BUILD Production application, monitoring, evaluation
You try the prototype before the first line of production code: we approve something that works.

One week of scoping

Use case, likely model, cost per request and data rules: everything is written down. The details are on the product scoping page.

Artefacts to try out

An interactive prototype to test the answers and the journey before building. The details are on the web application page.

Production, with follow-up

Application deployed on your infrastructure, costs and answer quality monitored, code in your GitHub repository.

Pricing

Decide first, build next.

Three offers, in this order. The model's usage costs come on top, paid directly to the provider.

FAQ

Before we start.

Do I need a model trained on my data?

Rarely at the start. Most products start from an existing model, given access to your data at request time. Specific training is only justified once the need is proven.

Which model do you use?

The one that answers your case best, at a sustainable cost. The choice is made on side-by-side tests during scoping, and it can change later without rebuilding the application.

How much does an AI SaaS cost?

Scoping from €2,500 excl. VAT, delivered in one week. Then mockup, artefacts and specs from €8,000 excl. VAT, then from €20,000 excl. VAT for the complete application depending on the scope. The model's usage costs come on top, paid to the provider.

Do you add AI to an existing product?

Yes. We start from your product and your data, isolate a precise use case, and integrate it without rebuilding the rest.
